東方美人茶又稱白毫烏龍茶，特色為需經蟲咬、白毫明顯、茶味甘甜。
東方美人茶最大特色為需經過蟲咬，這種蟲叫小綠葉蟬，亦名蜒仔或涎仔。
只要經過蟲咬，茶葉就會產生熟果香，喝起來茶湯甘甜，就像加了蜂蜜一般。
也因為這個緣故，東方美人茶又被叫蟲咬茶或蜒仔茶。

The oriental beauty is named by Queen Elizabeth II, when she brewed the tea and found the tea looked like oriental dancer dancing in the water. The main growing areas of Oriental beauty tea in Hsinchu and Miaoli County. 

There are 5 colors on its tea leave: white, green, yellow, red and brown. The more white tips on tea leaves, the higher the prices of teas are. The oriental beauty is kind of heavy fermented tea which insist one bud with two top leaves are picked by hand to produce this high-quality oolong tea. 

This tea Tastes Honey with strong fruity aromas and has it’s own special sweet taste with come after the buds were bitten by the Jacobiasca formosana (one kind of insect live in tea farms). Because of this insect, farmers couldn’t use any insecticide. As a result, the tea farms for Oriental beauty tea become totally natural and organic.
